SLIPS, TRIPS & FALLS
Check out these 6 ways to uncover slip, trip & fall hazards:
  1. Conduct a Formal Audit – comprehensive safety audits are time consuming but are a proven way to uncover unsafe conditions.
  2. Review Incident Reports – Incident reports are a lagging indicator but in many cases can help pinpoint areas where incidences have occurred
  3. Follow the Liquids – Track liquids upon arrival to make sure any spills, leaks or drips are cleaned up properly.
  4. Sponsor a Contest – Employees are your best resource for finding hazards! A contest can be as effective as an audit but takes less time and resources.
  5. Ask Vendors for Advice – Floor Care vendors for new technology and products that can help.
  6. Enlist Insurance Carriers – Most insurance carriers can provide information, inspection checklists and training to help identify and eliminate slip, trip and fall hazards. Some will even help conduct floor safety audits at little or no cost.
