The Arkansas State Executive Officer, Vicki Pickering, has scheduled a Member Rebate Webinar for September 27 at 12:30 central time. You can register by clicking the button below and entering your name and email in the top right corner. You will then receive instructions on how to participate via email. You can water the webinar from the convenience of your office or take a trip to the Greater Little Rock office.
The rebate is a GREAT benefit to you and to our association. Average members that participate in the program receive over $3,000 per month!
NWA HBA FOUNDATION PROVIDED 20 SCHOLARSHIPS FOR CONSTRUCTION COURSE
The NWA HBA Foundation has been working with area schools to reintroduce trade courses back into curriculum. This Fall Bentonville High School in partnership with Teresa Hudson, Program Director of the Ignite Professional Studies Program, will implement their first construction class. Chris Weeks, the Construction Technology Instructor and 14 high school students will embark on a course of learning about construction and the possibility of a future career. The NWA HBA Foundation was able to donate scholarships to this program to help set it in motion. To see a list of scholarship recipients click here.

We have hired a new Executive Officer! Marissa Fahrig will start this month as the new Executive Officer. Marissa is from Joplin, Missouri and moved to Fayetteville a little over a year ago. She is married to Scott Fahrig and they have 2 cats. She has a Master’s in Business Administration from Missouri State University and feels that working as a manager in a NPO is one of the most entrepreneurial endeavors a person can undertake. She has worked with Art Feeds, a NPO that does therapeutic art and creative education. Marissa has also worked with Northwest Arkansas 2-1-1, a United Way of NWA program that needed an overhaul.
